WELCOME TO OUR PILOT PROGRAM!

We had our first introduction session on Sunday 8th September 2024. All the groups were brought together in Otautahi to meet officially for the first time. Everyone comes from a variety of backgrounds and knowledge, and we are thoroughly looking forward to working with all of them on this pilot and throughout their individual journeys.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY ENERGY ACTIVATOR PILOT

The Community Energy Activator pilot is a collaboration between Ara Ake, Community Energy Network and Orion. We will be working with innovators, technical experts and grassroots organisations to impart knowledge as well as learn alongside communities to increase our collective knowledge of Community Energy Projects.

The pilot program will run over 13 weeks; September to November 2024, with a mix of in-person hui and site visits, and a weekly online session, creating a dynamic space for communities to come together, learn alongside each other and mentors/advisors from across the country.
